Japanese retail major Aeon has opened its first hypermarket in Southeast Asia with a 2,800m2 outlet in the Myanmar capital of Yangon. The store is the first fruits of a partnership established in 2016 with Creation Myanmar Group. As well as a food assortment, substantial space is given over to home appliances while a dining area is also included. Local shoppers can also take advantage of financing arrangements for larger purchases.
