The Watsons One Pass loyalty program operated by the AS Watson drugstore chain in Hong Kong can now be used across borders as the company looks to broaden the scope of the scheme by enabling use in different Asian markets. The initial focus for the expansion will be the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, where 660 stores will now offer loyalty benefits to cardholders. Plans are in place to allow One Pass to be used in other Asian markets like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and Indonesia. Watsons claims the move is in response to greater traveller traffic between regional markets.
