Alibaba B2C platform Tmall has revealed a ramping up of its focus on the parental products sector with 2000 new brands to be launched this year. The eCommerce hub will also deepen its collaborations with brand partners around NPD in a move to cut time between identifying product need and bringing new lines to market. Alibaba claims users purchasing baby goods have increased massively in the past year and intends to use specialist etailer Babytree as a driver of its aggressive push into the space.
